Description
Origins of this cryptic combo are traced in the late 90’s in Treviso, Italy. Story has it, that executives of JT (Japan Tobacco) Inc. were dancing to some tunes produced by the combo when they visited town to discuss business related to their Mild Seven sponsorship in Benetton’s F1 team.
Few years later, at a non casual meeting in Barcelona, they met some Scottish fellows who run the Diskono label and after some back and forth, the sub label FantomojdeDiskono released an 8 track compilation entitled “My Uncle, His Donkey and his Colt SAA under the Acropolis” as “My Family”. This went fast to oblivion and no one ever heard of the combo again.
More than a decade later, Mt.Family were spotted creating music for contemporary dance which sparked the idea that a second chance for a release was mandatory to be given.
C50/NWL are now proud to resurface some of the works of Mt. Family along with new pieces for this in this E.P called “Sunset at Xi”.
